Countdown to WolfCon 12!
WolfCon is our annual Wild Wolf Women of the Web retreat, a three-day weekend of sisterhood. We experience workshops, ritual, exploring the area we visit, intimate chats, hot tubbing, getting lost, trespassing, and plenty of wild woman adventures. WolfCon is Star Mountain in real time, an opportunity to gather with your pack for an experience you will never forget!

Wolfcon retreats are for list members only, and it's one of the reasons we've been together for so long.  We are more than just a mail list, more than just an internet fling. We are friends in the real sense, sisters of the heart, and we gather together whenever we can.

Blessed are the warriors... the suffragettes... the poets... the boat rockers... the pioneers... the troublemakers... the uppity women... the artists... the unsatisfied... the daring...the inventors... the questioners... the belligerent... the free spirits and most of all the Wild Women! - JerseyWolf, 2004

    A WolfCon Memory...

WolfCon 1, in Estes Park, Colorado, was our first ever Wolfcon ceremony. We were standing in a circle (a big one, because there were 35 of us), passing the beautiful beaded talking stick that Swampy made, and that now comes to every WolfCon.

What I recall isn't any one thing. It was being in that circle, looking around the room, at faces from all over the world: Brazil, Israel, Netherlands, U.S., and hearing each person speak from the heart as they held the talking stick.

I had such a feeling of belonging at that moment. Star Mountain had come alive in a way that was real and so powerful. To be in a room with Crystal, Swampy, Journey, Changing, Tsalagi, Desertwind Wolf, Ligia a Loba, Graywolf, Ambereyes, Artemis, and on and on... Real people. More than faceless names in my inbox. Real wild wolf women. And me. My pack. I belonged to them. I ran with them and they with me. It was unbelievable.
