Starlight Springs

The wait to join WWWW is from 1 to 3 months long. This is due to the high number of requests to join us, and the limit of 75 packmates on Star Mountain. But don't worry ... at the foot of Star Mountain lies a glade filled with warm pools of natural springs and Starlight beams. The women there join together in triumphs, personal discoveries and creative songs, as they watch their packmates take their turns in climbing the mountain side. There is some sadness in leaving friends that you have come to share so much with, but there is also the excitement of climbing to the top of Star Mountain, and knowing that the others will be close behind you. The pack at Starlight Springs banded together one night to write this poem which speaks of their very wild nature.

We howl to the north
of the ice and snow
crisp air fresh against our brow
uplifting our downtrodden hearts.

We howl to the South, from deep within the soul
the mystery of this mournful howl, its story never told
the cry, itself, is nature, the owner is the Earth
the wolf that rose to give this gift, is awaiting our re-birth.

We howl to the East because that's where the sun rises,
when our bellies are hungy and growling for fire,
the call of the Goddess carries us on so that
we can soon find what our hearts desire.

We howl to the West
from where the rains come,
bringing life to the Earth
and joy to our home.

We howl with our hearts and with our souls
a language all of our own.
understood with love, touched with the hearts
of those who would be alone.

We howl at the mountains with peaceful bliss
they sheild us and protect us from harms way
gives us our own world in which we can play
and allows us to be ourselves and no ones slave.

Now take my hand and come walk with me
down to a place where you can be free
a place where our hearts soar and the spirits sing
a place, our home, we lovingly know as Starlight Springs.
