Swampy is a Crone who lives next to the Dismal Swamp in Virginia...Her carvings are of Santa's and swamp spirits.. Her style of carving is primitive and she uses power carving tools..The wood she uses the most is tupelo and sometimes cypress knees from the woods. She is always on the look out for drift wood that has a shape that calls to be carved..
Being an old hippie Swampy has once more turned towards beading..shown here are a few of her amulet bags. Most are using the size 11/0 seed beads..but she has just found 15/0's which are much smaller and is in the process of creating with them...the amulet bags may be worn around the neck...or used to place a special amulet in and carried for good luck..
